She's the older orphan and is basically trying to inspire the rest of them to be happy even though all their lives suck. She's like Mary Poppins meets Orphan Annie meets Glinda the Good Witch of the North.
I generally dislike episodes with kids in 'em right off the bat, but Dodie's storyline is enchanting.
