You know, Gunsmoke has really changed my life.
I don't see things the same way.
Everything's just different.
I'd never wanna go back to my pre-Gunsmoke life.
It would really feel like something was missing.
And it was...
There was a lot missing. There were a lot of things I just didn't understand, and not understanding them made me angry.
But I don't feel that way anymore.
Everything from the quality entertainment, the devotion and hard work of the people who were involved in Gunsmoke...
To the little glimmers of magic (some not so little at all) that pave the way throughout each episode...
The synchronicities, too many to even note, and the great morals in so many of the stories...
Well I've just never been spoken to that much in my life by any type of art, it's phenomenal and customized to just exactly what my heart and soul needed to hear.
Gunsmoke is more than a show, it's a gentle teacher. It's a gift from God and the universe.
I guess it wouldn't be that profound for most people... I dunno. But for me and other people out there like myself, I think it's a cherished part of the journey that wakes us up and makes us see where we've been wrong, why it's okay, why it had to be that way, and how things can be better from now on.
