"Gunsmoke" (1955) - Review & Commentary
S12 E8 - "Whispering Tree"

1:07 it's so cool to see some of the most frequent past guest stars in color... I love these actors.

1:36 they all look 10 years younger in color too.

3:30 LOL @ Festus swinging the hammer at Doc... they're so cute together.

4:28 that's a nice looking stagecoach.

4:40 HE'S their PA?!!?!?!

4:55 well I guess they do kinda look like him.

5:36 look at that pretty red hair.

6:40 that's Ed Asner. The Mary Tyler Moore show came out 3 years after this, but he still looks so much younger here. He was on Gunsmoke once before this.

7:28 nice earrings... I wonder what they're made of.

7:50 Miss Kitty going into another bar, ooo, this is weird.

8:52 bitchin' fascinator too.

9:20 volume is low on this episode.

14:04 she's real nice... she's pleasant, I like her.

15:15 it's a creepy "whispering tree" that sounds like a train.

19:50 well I'll be darned, Doc is right though. Such a gorgeous shot of Thad too. I'll sure miss him when he leaves the show!

32:10 oh she's totally gonna kill this guy!

33:30 they make it really easy to hate him.

33:51 shout out to that badass blue chair though.

33:58 I'm pretty sure he didn't look like this on Mary Tyler Moore. Didn't he have mostly gray hair on that show?

34:26 uh oh, Pa's lost his shit!!!

35:06 shut up, woman, you're not gonna understand!!!

40:26 lol, fail.

41:00 nice action scene, great camera work.

43:55 that moment you regret becoming a parent... lmao!

45:33 he had it all and he just couldn't be satisfied.

45:46 it's a powerful scene.

46:00 you tell him, Ada!!!

46:40 well she ain't going to the Long Branch with all that shit!!!

48:08 that's what he gets for being a greedy prick!!!

49:02 oh shit, I damn near shed a tear on that one, hit me like creeper!?
