Well that's pretty subjective.
What is "a good father" anyway??
He already split away from his original family, he had a childfree relationship with Talulah Riley, did some REALLY STUPID shit with Amber Heard, he last attempted coupling/reproduction with FREAKING GRIMES... and now he's just randomly dating and impregnating at least a dozen women.
As far as Grimes goes, it's pretty clear to me that he went to great lengths to finally break Grimes into submission with his "baby bait"... he thought Claire was interesting, wanted her to be one of his breeders, but it took a bit to crack her. To him it was challenge with a pretty good reward, and that was essentially their involvement.
She was left feeling like Elon was "the love of her life", and Elon was left with SOOOO many more chicks to impregnate.
He brainwashes them with "the mission" (save human consciousness, spacefare, do the colonization thingy) and gets everyone he sees as "useful" to entangle themselves with him so he can further his goals.
I'm not saying what he does is wrong, but he IS playing a very bizarre game.
Think about the other people in history who did this...
Genghis Khan comes to mind, and he's so old school, the things going down in this 21st century social landscape will be INSANITY compared to that.
