But for real, a lot of people get fucked over by getting married, and a lot of people get fucked over by not getting married.
The common denominator among those people is that they were in a romantic relationship...
I'm thinking THAT is the problem.
Automatizing marriage would mean people would think hard about staying with their partner and whether it really is good or not. Bad relationships that go on for too long would probably be less common.
