Anoxic means oxygen related, not an injury due to a blow to the head.

How was she conscious and responding to the emergency workers, trying to escape from them (it looks like), but then suddenly she falls into a deep coma after getting to the hospital? Did they put her into a coma on purpose?
Reminds me of Joan Rivers.
