It rained hard this morning for a couple of hours. Now it’s hot and clear.
I made $20 giving a couple a ride this morning. A middle-aged dude and a tweak bird. We stopped at a dollar store, and the guy spent over $180 on the woman. I don’t know if she promised him booty, dope, or both, but he kept muttering about how he had just spent $200, and it better be worth it. The vibe I got from her was that she wasn’t tickled about the idea of fulfilling her end of the bargain.
I took them to a seedy motel on the south side. He went in to rent the room. While we waited, the woman helped herself to a can of Vienna sausages I had in my car. The guy was inside for awhile, and I wondered if he had enough money left for the motel room. The tweak bird went inside, still eating the can of Vienna sausages. They returned shortly, and I helped them unload their bags on the sidewalk in front of their room. Then I left.
