Milk and coconut water seem to be some of the only things you should drink on an empty stomach.
Citrus juices and sodas will be too acidic. Alcohol and other things will be too harsh.
Also, since you haven't eaten anything, your body can better absorb the nutrients and whey protein from the milk.
