In colder temps I guess you could pay for only a dryer at the laundromat and bring your wet pre-washed clothes.

Most washaterias around here require that you use their washers if you're gonna use their dryers. I spent $6.50 on two loads last time. It's harder to raise that much money out here than it sounds.

They don't call them washaterias around here. That's in a charming neck of the woods I  revisited a few years back.
