Roman-Saturn 'father time' (The Figure with both an hourglass and a scythe) is also known as Chronos/KHRONOS.
Known as the primordial god of time. In the Orphic cosmogony he emerged self-formed at the dawn of creation.
Kronos was envisaged as an incorporeal god, serpentine in for, with three heads--that of a man, a bull, and a lion.
Chronos gave us the word chronology of course. As early as Andronicus (3rd Century BC) Jupiter was called the
son of Saturn.
