Aaahh!!! A hot shower and clean clothes. I feel almost human again.
Around 4PM, Chris was somewhat drunk and quite hungry. He offered to buy me a couple of leg and thigh deals if I drove him to Popeye's, and off we went.
When he said the two piece deal was $1.59, it sounded too good to be true, and that's because it was. Chris was remembering shit that hasn't been around in ages. He couldn't afford all the yardbird he'd set out to buy, so we went to Sonic for their Tuesday two-fer-one burger special.
Now for some reason, the girl taking our order couldn't focus on the Tuesday special we were talking about, and kept talking about some two-fer $5.99 special they had. She eventually got frustrated and disconnected.
Chris was really jonesing for fried chicken though, so we traveled across town yet again to Golden Chick, and learned that their 8 piece "special" was over $30.
From there, we went to Church's and got a greasy, too long under the heat lamp 10 piece for $11.99.
