Yes, I think you are right, at least for me it’s always been the music. It can just erase the years and the circumstances and you are right back to where and when whatever it reminds you of happened as if no intervening time and distance had occurred. While the Toto/Africa song has had by far the strongest affect (or is it effect? I can never keep that straight) on me, there are many songs that get me lost in time like that.
