The first thing you see when you come out of the womb is a brightass light...
Hurts the eyes, stings the senses.
Why would the light on the 'other side' be any different??
Principally, it seems like 'the light' is associated with existence, bottom line.
The nothingness, calm black darkness seems like it would be preferable if one were looking for peace and the opposite of chaos.
