Lol, they were clearly just trying to get him to come home.
Kinda brilliant, totally understandable.
I bet they tried hard to convince him to stay there once he went back though, but it didn't work.

It's kinda sad how people call the police though, just makes you think...
Nobody is used to this sort of natural tendency to go out and explore anymore.
That's all humanity really did, for most of history.
