Seven-hundred miles. Three states. Two months. In 1991, nineteen bodies brought the
FBI into one of the largest manhunts in US history. The entire southwest ground to a near
halt. Firearm sales were up - from California to Alabama - no one felt safe.
And they had every reason not to.
The nature of these acts, sick and depraved, spoke to a level of violence not often
seen - even among the worst of crimes. It was as though dark forces were trying to
bring the whole country to its knees.
And in May and June of 1991 - that’s exactly what they did.
