My biggest memory with WebTV was emailing with a relative.
His name was Frank, and I know he was related to my maternal Grandma, but I genuinely don't know who he was.
I remember him being called "Uncle Frank" and I think it was HER uncle. So I dunno what that would have made him to me.
He was SUPER old and I don't remember a ton about what the heck we talked about, but I was like 7 or something.
We were pen pals for a while, cuz back then it was all about taking the snail mail concept digital.
I had a few pen pals, there was a girl from Massachusetts that I wrote back and forth with those multi-color ink pens, the ones with like 5 different pens in one.
She was a real person too, no catfish kinda shit going on there.
They were interesting times... now the whole "pen pal" concept is considered archaic again and the pen pal aspect is sorta just built in to the whole internet at this point.
