TBH, it's starting to sound like a karmic home situation...
There are a few different kinds of them.
One of them is a home where you move there and pay penance by serving the home with updates/renovations and other activity.
It's not like you see that kinda shit coming, you usually just "randomly" end up in those situations.
So rather than it being a ghost, it may just be the consciousness of the structure. I still call it all ghosts though, it's a catchall term.
