Even if he's a total liar, he is legend... he's a fixture of modern American culture at this point, even if his beginnings were on the fringe. Everyone's heard about Area 51 now, so I am not sure he can even be considered a true "fringe" dweller anymore. Especially after being the focal point of the most viewed Rogan interview of all time. You're pretty much in bonafide normie territory at that point.
