The problem of social media may seem daunting, but there's a whole underground of 'Netizens who snuck away to private forums like this one. There are a lot of closed, moderated boards that most people will never hear about unless they know someone there who will invite them and vouch for them. Some boards have an "inner circle" board where you have to reach a certain post count in the kiddie pool before you're allowed to join the adults. The kiddie pool usually has a lot of mindless game threads to get your post count up in a hurry.
