Bottom line, sad fact of it is that I would not help a child who was seemingly in distress. Too bad this kind of evil exists in the world, but it does. All kinds of similar things could be used as bait... even animals in some cases. Sad to think we should program ourselves not to help but, it is what it is. If you're with someone else who's heavily armed and can act as a spotter, or preferably if you're with several other such people, maybe you could help but... be prepared to take out whoever jumps out of the bushes trying to kidnap you.
