The safer option would actually be white, because you could just throw another color on top if you decided it sucked.
You can't do that with henna. You can't henna chemically treated hair, and you can't chemically treat henna'd hair.
This wouldn't be a big issue, except for we are dealing with hair which takes ~5 years to fully grow out.
Nobody has that kind of time to waste.
