At the end, she mentions how she loves that more people are moving to the
wilderness and building cabins and are living "off the grid". Well, I don't know
about the rest of the world but here in the US there's a little stinger known as
property taxes - and if you don't pay those, the feds WILL step in and show you
exactly who owns what!
And for those who think it's still a SHTF-viable option - just wait until enough people
are doing it and the gov't starts losing shekels - there will suddenly arise a new and
completely ridiculous [as well as unsustainable] tax on those living "free". Most likely
dubbed some bullshit climate-adjacent nonsense - the "endangered land" tax. They'll
give that a whirl to steal a few more million before just booting people the fuck off
their own land and declaring some bastardized form of eminent domain. For the climate.
There's only one way to stop/fix ANY of this. And I'm smart enough not to type it into
