What that woman is doing is powerful as fuck. Incredible.
The details of her garb and why it's such a big "fuck you" to Amish hypocrisy, the hemming and the measurements, the color, the embroidery. She takes great pride in this expression because they had to make their own clothes and shit, so this is something she's been doing forever. I can relate in some ways... I've always made custom clothes (for myself) and I understand this form of expression.
I never watch SWU anymore cuz I feel like Mark borders on exploitative and I question his intentions... but I had to watch this one because you just so rarely see escapees from these sects come out and tell the truth so boldly. God bless this woman.
