AI will eventually be used to translate everything to your preferred language in real time, no question about it. I've looked forward to that eventuality for like a whole decade at this point. It'll be one of the best applications of AI by far.
But I think it's still important to learn other languages regardless, it's kind of the difference between being able to do math in your head or on paper, and only being able to use a calculator.
