Large birds are so precious.
I feel like we're lucky to have any left.
It stands to reason (at least to me) that they were originally the VERY LARGE dinosaurs.
Or maybe they were just hardier and able to withstand the changes that took place better than a lot of the other dinos.
It would make sense because often, such large birds can't really fly, at least not very high/far.
So interesting how all the birds come alive in the spring, in keeping with the level of activity we humans are supposed to have.
The fact that they're a lot quieter in the winter suggests we're not supposed to be doing fuck all in the winter, but a lot of birds migrate in the winter too...
Very much in line with my theory that humans are just not supposed to live in cold climates.
