Various oddities surrounding the death of Prince Rogers Nelson...
#41
I've been reading around and people are really hard on Prince's estate, bitching about how they don't release enough stuff, or they don't release "the right" stuff...

And I kinda disagree. I think they've been doing okay with releases.

There's so much material in the vault to go through, and it takes a lot of special processing. If it's on tape, it's gotta be converted to digital and so on.

Besides man...

I kinda get the feeling that Prince probably had A LOT of risque material in the vault. He even admitted so, but I think it's crazier than people might have expected.

I mean, imagine it...

Prince dies, you get into the vault, and it's just full of crazy raunchy sex music, AND "conspiracy theorist" stuff that is trying to tell the truth about the system.

You'd be between a rock and a hard place.

Is it even appropriate to release some crazy dirty music by Prince?? Like, how dirty are we talking here?? Is that even acceptable??

And what about all the "truth telling" that must be in those archives?? How are they gonna release THAT?? Especially without putting a huge target on their backs and pissing off the establishment, come on. It's nearly an impossible position to be in.

I feel like this is probably what happened.

They got into the vault and started exploring and realized it's a ton of hardcore shit in every direction.

I think it should all be released regardless of the content and who it'll offend, but one thing is absolutely certain... it will be revolutionary.
