The X-Files (1993) - Review & Commentary
Most people say seasons 10 & 11 suck, but I actually think they're pretty decent.

I thought a solid 60% of episodes from the original series run were dumb.

I've never seen such ridiculous plotlines be explored in such a semi-serious tone...

But then, I guess that's what made the show so great in its day, so it's fine.

A lot of people like the "Monster of the Week" episodes, but I think they're the worst.

I skip most episodes, I'm really only interested in the ones that involve UFOs.

I read some spoilers that said Daddy Skinner gets straight up shot in the face in the last episode...

That pissed off the viewership and I think that's why seasons 10 & 11 are generally hated.

Skinner looks hot as fuck in the 2017 seasons, I mean the guy aged so well.

I think his character got so much better during the later seasons of the original show...

He sorta started off as a semi-hard assed doubter, but I think they all saw so much shit go down that they couldn't be so skeptical anymore.

If X-Files wasn't such an iconic show (cuz it is) then I would say over all it's pretty dumb.

That's my honest opinion.

Muldy and Sculler are hot, but is that really enough? If it wasn't for the sci-fi theme, it definitely wouldn't be.

All in all, I give the show a solid 6.5 out of 10 stars.
