What I would really like is if they realeased some of the Roswell or whatever Alien technology they reverse-engineered to the general public since the 1950's.
They could have given us simple but effective things like water tanks that condensed the water vapour in the air.
Roofs that collected the sunlight and changed it into electricity for charging whatever devices you had.
Stealth laptops with access to the Omninet.
Stun energy rounds for revolvers so you could knock people out for a few hours instead of killing them.
