Dexter: Review & Commentary

Summary of Dexter: Resurrection...

Dex is recruited into the "killer club" (under false pretenses) by Leon Prater (Peter Dinklage), a billionaire with a fetish for serial killers. Charley (Uma Thurman) is most likely ex special forces and she works for Prater. They put on these private gatherings for the serial killers, and Dexter starts knocking them off one by one.

The other noteworthy killers are Gemini (David Dastmalchian), Mia (Krysten Ritter), and Rapunzel (Eric Stonestreet).

Angel Batista is the only OG series cast member (besides Harry) who has a considerable role this season so far.

Harrison is Dex's son, his character came along in the first couple seasons of the show, and now he's grown up. During New Blood, he was in high school. In this season he's going to college. He works at a hotel.

Blessing is Dexter's friend/landlord.

Claudette (Det. Wallace) and her partner are the cops investigating the murder of the bad guy (Ryan Foster) from E1 who Harrison killed because he was about to date rape a fellow hotel guest.

That should be all the catching up necessary.

There have been A LOT of theories swirling about this show, what direction it's gonna take, who is who, etc. I don't wanna throw out too many spoilers or theories. If I had reviewed each episode from the start, it'd be different. There are major spoilers that I'm probably not gonna give away if I can possibly avoid it.

And honestly, I am ditching Paramount+ on their own platform, I'm just gonna get the service through Amazon. Their releases are always right on time.
