He was in a Discord group which is like the "lighter" side of the seedy "dark" net... there are all kinds of alphabet and shadow gov agents on those platforms trying to steer the narrative, looking for victims, running psyops. He was hanging out in those circles, he got targeted, he was brainwashed, and he got used.
