What a nightmare. Roomie needs therapy for sure.
I will say that it's a bit 'convenient' with Robinson pointing out that it was "grandpa's rifle"...
It's like in a show or movie when they need to explain a character's backstory so they work it into the dialogue.

THE WHOLE THING, just what the hell. Wut. Wuuuut. Wut. I dunno.
"Judging from today, I'd say grandpa's gun does just fine."
And apparently roomie wasn't even RESPONDING while he was saying all of this...
Roomie = horrified, Robinson = just going on and on like a nightmare monologue about how he just killed this guy with pappy's gun, and boy did it ever do the job real good.
