But a big part of it to me is the distress of the baby. I mean... babies don't cry like that for no damn reason. To have a baby in a situation where it's stressed to the degree that it's screaming bloody murder is clearly wrong.
Genba raised a good point about single parents. The crux of this issue is broken families. If it was the good old days, the kids would be left at home with dad on the weekend while mom got all the shopping crap done for the week. I think that's what they did on Leave it to Beaver...
