There's a queue...
There's basically a widespread attempt to hush all the tendrils of these puppetmasters.
They're losing ground so hard...
Prevalence of the real deal threatens every aspect of their foundation and existence.
They will throw everything at it...
They'll have a measure of success.
It is also my guess that whatever is left standing (regarding reputation) in the real deal will suffer by association for a time, but then come out stronger than ever.
This isn't going to be totally clean for 'them'...
There will be signs and little bits of proof along the way, hopefully carefully gathered up and comprised into something shareable that will lessen the timespan of having to 'live down' the falling away.
