Yeah I thought he was really great too. I've never run across another show or even a movie that can evoke the sense of imagination and wonder that the Twilight Zone does. That episode reminded me of the dollhouse/museum episode on the original Twilight Zone, it was called "Miniature". It was one of their hour long episodes, and I never liked those. But it was still pretty good.
