Trix, I never watch TV... or never did. I didn't even have a TV for a good 8 years until my dad bought me one a few years ago. He's really into TV and movies and he just assumed I was too, but I'm not.
So I never watched the TV he gave me either but one day I hooked up the internet in my room and wanted to watch these HD moving scenes they have on NetFlix. Sort of like a screen saver but with relaxing sounds. I liked one of the stars at night... they would slowly rotate, etc.
That led to me getting an HD antenna to see what local channels I could get, and it turns out I get about 90 channels and some are actually good and HD. MeTV is one of them and that's what my tv stays tuned to now. I only watch it at night when I'm in bed and I love the whole feeling of being tired, in my room and watching these old tv shows.
You might want to get a TV and antenna and see what channels you get.
