I'm a little over halfway through, but so far not a single suckass track.
The advice I would give about retrowave would be, don't try anything too funky just to be "different"...
Don't listen to people who say retrowave all sounds the same or any of that kinda shit.
Don't try to make it too "different" by throwing in some super weird element.
I'm not necessarily saying play it safe...
But if it's between trying something funky that has the chance of making an otherwise excellent song totally skipworthy...
It's better to play it safe and put out something mediocre rather than something regrettable, all because you were trying to 'strike out' into some new territory out of fear of songs sounding too similar.
This is strictly talking about retrowave... doesn't really apply to other music, where just the opposite might be true.
