I never went to public school. I did have a friend who used to have me write in journals that she was sending to keep her brother and his friends company when they were overseas in the war in the early 2000s. I thought that was really neat of her. She and I shared this sort of love for writing, and notebooks in general, but both of us also admitted that we could never seem to write very often. She said she didn't write that much because she'd start writing and feel like what she was writing 'sounded stupid'. I am, thankfully, completely past any hangup of that nature.
