it could also be said that no human belongs in other oppressive climates, like the far north where it's testicle-shatteringly cold. yet the inuits, scandis, and siberians do it fine.
that's the thing about humans - they modify their environment and use tools. we can't really exist otherwise. it would require a very very specific climate, with no predators, and sufficient flora on which to feed.
