Yes. Unfortunately, like everyone else, my perceptions guide my actions.

When I encounter people who reject honest attempts to help them solve their problems, I lose sympathy for them. I'm not longer motivated to make efforts on their behalf.

When I encounter platforms that actively derail and discourage civil discussion, I lose interest in engaging people in a civilized manner.

When I see the asinine uses the tools I develop are put to, I'm not inclined to develop new ones.

I have 99 problems of my own, and mouth-breathing Internet addicts ain't one of them.
