At 9:50, they interview Ward Christensen, who wrote the first BBS program, CBBS, and created the XMODEM protocol.
Coincidentally, I've been studying XMODEM the past few days in conjunction with some WiFi adapter software I'm writing for use with my Commodore 64 and Radio Shack computers. I'm kind of doubting I'll encounter the kinds of problems XMODEM was invented to solve, but it's good to know about it just in case. The adapter will have a telnet client, since most of the old school dialup BBSs have switched to telnet now.
