You can’t say fungi without saying “fun guy”.
Having said that, when I refer to “Fungi” affectionately, I hear it as “fun-gee” (like “geezer”) rather than the pronunciation of “fungi”.
Well originally I wanted the name Fungus cos of what lives up Trixies hole, Fallopian Fungus, but then I was drunk as fuck to many beers and like was reading about fungus growing on stuff.
Life probably started from Fungus.
