Grant was older than Zane is, he wasn't a "rookie"...
Sounds like they went into a questionable job they should have never been doing.
Zane needs to let go of the Grant incident and just put it behind him...
As a Scorpio he should understand death on a deeper level than most people.
Zane is just holding onto something to give himself reason to 'punish' himself, because as his entire life since his teenage years shows, he's always believed he deserved some kind of punishment.
Re: death of the lineman, Zane is failing to see the big picture... we're all one source consciousness, everything is an illusion, and therefore everyone/everything outside of Zane is illusory.
The death was just a lesson/perspective he was supposed to learn from as source embodied in human form (Zane) and it wasn't something he was supposed to get all hung up on.
Just let it go.
