well to be honest i'm only taking cursory glances, but that means i'm sticking to the realm of intuition and mine is basically never wrong, despite my ego's stubborn tendency to prove it wrong.
he's pretty clearly divided against himself internally, the result of abuse. not a singular incident mind you, but a pattern as you said he was stuck in before. substance/alcohol abuse, allegations of violence, destruction of a family, odd transient journeys with personas non grata, a potent outward charisma. all the hallmarks of a sociopath forged through intimate abuse in the formative years. i'm reminded of the movie Clueless and the descriptor `a Monet` - beautiful from a distance but up close it's ugly.
