I know, they threatened to shoot Mack AND Zane. Sooo trashy! If I was Zane, I'd just stay far away from these mentally ill weirdos. I'd get rich/famous online and then come back a few years down the road when I had too much notoriety and money to be defeated by a hysterical gaggle of total idiots. Gotta finalize that divorce though! Until then, he's still being held hostage monetarily by pure evil and anything he does will just be thwarted anyway.
It doesn't even matter if some other piece of shit gets custody of his kids in the meantime... money and popularity trump all, he could get them back no matter what.
Zane's biggest problem between now and then will be committing a fuckup if he's presented with a "crossroads moment" in exchange for fame. It almost happened to him once with some reality show on the Discovery Channel or some shit. I dunno if Zane has the moral fortitude to withstand that type of temptation. Probably not. But that's a separate matter he'll have to pay the consequences for if he chooses to go that route. He's gotta remember internet fame doesn't come at that price... it's only the obsolete old guard celebrity (TV, movies, etc.) that make you get your hands dirty for fame.
In any case, Zane is doing the right thing by securing Mack a safe place to stay though... he's a good dog and he's come a long way.
