I'm good at reading people (generally)...
When I first came across Zane, my disapproval of him stemmed from the fact that I saw a very intelligent, unique, attractive person, who I felt had sold himself short in life.
The more I've learned about him though, the more I've come to like him and have realized that first impressions might be accurate most of the time, but when you start getting deeper into speculation and start ragging on specifics, that increases the likelihood of your assumptions being wrong.
There's a fine line when it comes to discernment, first impressions, etc., they're right, until they jump the shark.
My initial reaction to Zane and the subsequent deeper understanding of him has brought me more clarity on my own perceptive tendencies.
