Anybody ever established eye contact with their pet in a mirror?

Well here its the mudlarks, kind of like a small magpie, they are known for it. Some of them attack the window, some actually try to fuck the window. Yes actually try to fuck their own reflection. I know some people like that.
But other species do it to randomly like Indian Minors. It seems to be where Sol is and the angle of reflection. But then could be an individual thing as well like a parasite in the brain.
I had a cockatoo and he didn't seem to give a shit about the mirror. I mean a mirror is just a peice of glass with silver behind it.
