The numbers are far less, for sure, but there are tons of women who are waaaay more perverted than some men and will pay for things you cannot even comprehend.
Have you ever met Fanny from ICOM? That woman loved talking about sex more than she liked having it, so work that out for yourself. (not saying she paid for phone sex, just that talking about sex with strange people on the internet was appealing to her, and she did it openly)
Plus, my guess is you don't TALK and LISTEN to many women, they love to chat, guest. They like to hear things, stories, ideas, fantasies etc...women tend to be more sexual in their thoughts then in their actions, especially at first...one kinda lends itself to the other, imo.
