I think Kentucky is a nice state, but I'm biased because I'm Kentucky born/raised. Re: Atlanta, staying away is probably a good call. The only thing they've got going for them (in my opinion) is a bitchin' aerial acrobatics and circus scene.

The Keys and areas immediately around the Apalachicola area are the best places in Florida, other than that I think it's pretty meh.
