At this point, YouTube is clearly "phasing out" the community aspect of its site...

D.Tube has some problems, I found after using it...

Specifically...

Literally the entire concept is flawed, aside from getting paid per video via upvote. Every other aspect I can see some type of flaw in, ranging from minor to pretty fucking serious. As a result I believe I can say with certainty that DT is not the YouTube replacement. Unfortunately.

I mean from what I can see, there isn’t even a way to delete videos...

There’s no middle ground with this ‘blockchain’ model.

Unless you want everything you intentionally and unintentionally/accidentally upload to be on the net under your name forever, DT looks like the wrong site to use. I’m reluctant to upload anything else, and I’m a pretty shameless motherfucker.

You can’t delete your account or anything you upload to the blockchain...

And I’m sorry but that is just not gonna work.

It would be fine if there was some level of moderation, or you could make vids private...

It’s almost like DT (and any other site running on this model) was invented with the idea that the internet is some kind of troll free utopia and nobody ever makes mistakes or regrets uploading shit to the net.

Comments for example can’t be removed and they can’t be impacted at all unless you basically have a bot army downvoting shit.

So it’s basically a game of who is the loser with the biggest bot army and are they for you or against you.

It’s not conducive to a freedom based system even though that’s what it’s boasted to be at its core.

I’m smelling a rat with this shit in general... it’s fine as it concerns neutral things like currency.

But as a model for social (the very word implying feelings, trends, etc.) media sites...

Seems like a fail.
