Thanks for making a prepping thread and posting links.
I like prepping and have a bugout bag ready, although I admit that I tend to stock up only when I think doom is imminent, like during the Ebola outbreak and more recently when I thought North Korea was going to nuke us.
I try to keep up on what I might need, but it does start to add up cost wise.
Besides the basics, I think what you need really depends on the type of doom. For example, I got a Geiger counter and another gas mask when I thought NK was going to nuke us this spring. And during Ebola I bought some Hazmat suits, face masks, eyewear, bleach and a lot of rubber gloves and duct tape, things like that.
Eventually I figure I'll be prepared for a lot of different "doom scenarios", but the most important thing I should do that I haven't is move away from a heavily populated area.
